Each year, the University of Maryland Extension agriculture programs from across the state organize educational sessions related to agronomy and fruit, vegetable and forage production for growers and other agriculture professionals to benefit the community. These sessions help our farmers and agriculture community keep current with up-to-date information about timely agriculture-related topics.
Leading researchers from across the nation will present their findings on novel practices that advance our understanding of the value of manure in crop production. Their works have demonstrated how altering our paradigms of manure management greatly impact agronomic productivity, economic returns, as well as water quality outcomes.
Attendees will also hear from local leaders sharing results from local projects involved in manure management practices. Hear the first-hand experiences from growers and applicators involved in these works and how changing practices has affected their operations.
