Help save the Chesapeake Bay by implmenting some habits. Actions towards creating an environmentally friendly sustainable landscapes that can improve water quailty and conserve natural resources.

The workshop features hands-on demonstrations, including building a grow light stand using everyday low-cost materials.

In addition to sowing native plant seeds, tips will be shared on winter sowing herbs and vegetables. Soil, seeds and milk jugs are provided; however, participants may also bring their own translucent milk jugs.

Wondering when to start thawing your turkey, how long leftovers are safe to eat, or how to bake safely for a crowd? Food safety experts will include  Dr. Shauna Henley of the University of Maryland, and Dr. Julie Garden-Robinson of North Dakota State University. Ask your toughest culinary questions so you can cook with confidence!

A free event for all ages of sheep producers sponsored by the Maryland Sheep Breeders Associations in partnership with the University of Maryland Extension. Attendees will spend the day learning the basics of raising sheep and networking with other producers. Lunch will be provided.
