This webinar outlines the landowner perspective on utility-scale solar: land use and environmental considerations, due diligence steps, common lease terms and clauses, and how property ownership and easements can influence development. This session explains the fundamentals of community solar; what it is, who it serves, and how subscription structures allocate benefits and costs. We’ll discuss enabling policies and program features, compare community solar scale to other sectors, and outline practical steps and resources to evaluate offerings and join a program. Join us for an interactive program with Rachel Rhodes, UME Horticultural Educator, as we explore the world of plant propagation. Participants will learn the basic principles and techniques of propagation, including how to grow new plants from stems, leaves, and roots.

Stop by the library with all your questions about gardening, garden pests, plant problems, and insects.  This month’s topic is “Vertical Gardening.” Master Gardeners will focus on creating vertical gardening that maximizes growing space by training plants to grow upward, making it an efficient and attractive solution for small gardens and urban environments.

Join University of Maryland Extension Educator, Rachel Rhodes, to learn about simple plant propagation techniques and common house plants to duplicate.  Participants will have the opportunity to propagate plants and take home cuttings afterwards.

Participants will learn more about herbs that are vibrant, nutritious, and can grow in compact locations (like a windowsill). Pots, soil media, and herbs will be provided for each audience member to take home.
