The Bolton Hill Garden Club invites Master Gardeners and the public to attend our 6th Annual Plant & Seed Swap on Saturday, April 4 from 1:00–4:00 PM (rain or shine) at Rutter Mill Park in Baltimore.

This free, community-based event provides an opportunity to exchange plants, seeds, and gardening knowledge in an informal, educational setting. Participants are encouraged to bring labeled plants, divisions, or seeds to share, though participation is open to all regardless of contribution.

The swap promotes sustainable gardening practices, including plant reuse, propagation, and the increased use of native and ecologically beneficial species appropriate to Maryland landscapes and Chesapeake Bay watershed health. Attendees will have opportunities to engage with other gardeners, discuss best practices, and build connections across Baltimore’s growing network of community greening efforts.

In addition to the swap, the event will feature live music by The Pinky Pickers, creating a welcoming environment for both experienced gardeners and those just getting started.

This event aligns with the educational and outreach mission of the Master Gardener program by encouraging peer-to-peer learning, responsible plant selection, and community stewardship.
