Madeline Potter (She/Her/Hers) is a University of Maryland Extension (UME) Faculty Specialist with the Home and Garden Information Center. The overall focus of her extension program is educating others on sustainable pest management, conservation of beneficial arthropods, and management of invasive species through an integrated pest management lens. She received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture, a minor in sustainability, a high honors certification in entomology, and a thesis-based Master of Science in Entomology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her Master's research focused on elucidating factors to improve biological control of the invasive brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) by egg parasitoids. 

From 2022-2024 Madeline worked as the UME Howard County Master Gardener Coordinator and Horticulture Agent Associate.
