Kristin joined the University of Maryland Extension-Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) in July, 2012, as the Garrett County Project Leader and Nutrition Educator. SNAP-Ed is committed to improving the health and well-being of local residents. SNAP-Ed provides nutrition education to low-income individuals and families - and also trains collaborating partners and teachers to administer SNAP-Ed curricula to the target audience.
