You're invited to join us for the 8th annual AGNR Cornerstone Event!

This year's event will take place on Tuesday, November 10 starting at 10:00am in the Grand Ballroom in The Stamp Student Union, University of Maryland, College Park. 

The event is free and open to the public. Guests may also register on-site the day of the event. 

Our keynote speaker will be Johan Swinnen, director general of the International Food Policy Research Institute. He will deliver a talk on the politics and economics of global food security, a topic highly relevant and timely to our work. Following his talk, there will be a moderated Q&A.

In addition to Johan's keynote, we will offer free parking, a catered lunch, a poster competition featuring the excellent work of our students, and some social time to mingle with friends and colleagues. 

Weeds, diseases, and insects are often a major concern for growers in Maryland. Integrated pest management (IPM) programs incorporate multiple pest management strategies into their production practices. Join us monthly, on the Third Thursday at noon,  these one-hour sessions are both informative and interactive, providing an opportunity for participants to learn and engage with specialists in the field.
