Advice for New Students:
Always be yourself and capitalize on all of the opportunities that are given to you through the University. Looking back on my experiences at UMD, I can say that it took me longer than I would have liked for me to realize that you only get out what you put in to your experiences at Maryland. I made a decision that I would start becoming more involved in the College of Agriculture and in Greek Life at UMD, and I have been able to see the positive impact that I have made. It is so rewarding to get involved and see your progress being realized. I encourage you to go out of your comfort zone and be yourself, because there are so many opportunities and people on this campus that will be with you along the way to support you and help your aspirations be realized.
