Nicole Walker serves as Area Extension Director for University of Maryland Extension, providing leadership for Extension programs and operations in Talbot, Dorchester, and Wicomico counties. She enjoys working alongside Extension faculty, staff, community partners, and local leaders to connect Maryland residents with research-based programs that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
Nicole earned her Ph.D. in Family Science from the University of Maryland School of Public Health. Her background includes public health, evaluation, and applied research, and she enjoys helping organizations use evidence, collaboration, and thoughtful planning to expand their impact and respond to evolving community needs.
Nicole believes that some of the most meaningful work happens through strong relationships and local partnerships. She is proud to support Extension's mission of improving lives by making university research practical, accessible, and relevant to the people and communities of Maryland's Eastern Shore.
