Kara is a Registered Dietitian working in Calvert County as the Project Leader & Nutrition Educator for UME SNAP-Ed providing nutrition education low income families. She works with pre-k aged students to teach them about the fun and importance of nutritious foods, physical activity and garden-based learning. Kara also works with other community-based organizations to improve overall community health including local food pantries.
