Hayden Schug

Hayden Schug is the Agriculture and Food Systems Extension Educator for University of Maryland Extension in Charles County. His work focuses on fruit and vegetable production, row crops, integrated pest management, and applied research that addresses the needs of Southern Maryland farmers. Before joining Extension, Hayden worked in agricultural education and as a Specialty Crops Grader with the USDA. He earned a B.S. in Agricultural Science with a minor in Agricultural Business and an M.S. in Entomology from North Carolina State University. His graduate research focused on integrated pest management in soybeans and other row crops. Hayden enjoys working directly with farmers and providing practical, research-based information to support agricultural production throughout the region.
