Emily Thorpe is a Regional Watershed Specialist with the University of Maryland Sea Grant Extension Program, where she provides stormwater technical assistance and capacity-building to local governments, watershed organizations, and community groups across Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester counties. As a member of the Watershed Protection and Restoration Program, her work connects communities with resources, education, and practical solutions that support water quality improvements, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. Emily is passionate about building partnerships that bring together residents, organizations, and local leaders to address environmental challenges and create lasting community impact through collaborative action.
