Dr. Amanda Grev joined the University of Maryland Extension team in 2019 and currently serves as the Forage and Pasture Specialist at the University of Maryland’s Western Maryland Research & Education Center.  Originally from Minnesota, Amanda completed her undergraduate degree at North Dakota State University in Equine and Animal Science, followed by an equine nutrition research internship at Kentucky Equine Research in Versailles, KY.  Amanda received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Animal Science at the University of Minnesota, where her research focused on the interaction between animal nutrition, forages, and pasture management. In her current role, she works to support forage producers, livestock owners, and industry professionals by providing forage-related education, programming, and resources that will enhance the success and profitability of their operation.
