You are invited to the Anne Arundel County Urban Farm Research Clinic (AAUFRC) Urban Farm Tour and Ice Cream Social at the Anne Arundel Extension Office located at 97 Dairy Lane, Gambrills, MD on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:30pm.

Ice cream will be served at 5:00pm followed by a walking farm tour that begins at 6:00pm. This year the AAUFRC will highlight hops, wine grapes, apples, peaches, blackberries, sweet corn and flour corn varieties, pumpkins, gourds, high tunnel vegetables and herbs, cut flowers, market gardening, and bee keeping.

Do you have vegetables, flowers, or herbs that you want to grow again next year? Don't waste the money on more seeds, learn how to save what you have for next year! Join us for this Seed Saving Workshop. Bring your (heirloom) vegetables, flowers, and herbs and our experienced Master Gardeners will help you harvest and store seeds for the future! We will provide materials needed for harvesting and storage, but feel free to bring your own (jars, envelopes, pruning shears, mesh strainer, etc.)!

Join fellow farmers, industry representatives and Extension Agents for a day of learning about forages, grazing, and cropping systems. Equipment demonstrations will occur throughout the day. Walk 9 different annual warm season forage grass plots. 

This will be an informal tour, with plenty of opportunity to discuss your crop and forage questions with other growers. Handouts and other brochures will be available. 

Directions: The farm is located off of Route 6 in the Charlotte Hall area. Take Rt. 5 south toward Leonardtown. Turn right onto Rt 6 and proceed 2 miles. Turn left onto Farmland Place. Proceed to the first farm on the right.
