AGNR Peer Mentors are paid student employees in the Academic Programs Office who assist undergraduate students with advising, registration, and everyday campus issues. Students who are selected for this role are AGNR upperclassmen who are actively involved in their major, hold leadership roles across campus, and know how to manage their time while making the most of all that UMD has to offer. As an integral part of the Academic Programs Team, AGNR Peer Mentors may also serve in other leadership roles in the college such as TA'ing a University 100 class or engaging with prospective students who visit the college.
AGNR Peer Mentor positions become available each year as senior students graduate. Vacant positions will be posted through the AGNR listserv and online as they become available. For questions or inquiries, please e-mail Heather Buchanan at hbuchan1@umd.edu.
