Carrie Sorenson is a tenure track Family and Consumer Sciences Agent in the Western cluster. She works in the Washington County Office and focuses on nutrition, health, and health insurance education. Carrie has worked for UME since 2017 and has taught a variety of UME programs.

Additional background information: Carrie began her career with UME in a professional track position with FCS in Frederick County. During that time, she taught a variety of financial literacy, health insurance literacy, and wellness programs. Carrie became a Certified Health Education Specialist and an Accredited Financial Counselor in 2021. Prior to working for UME, Carrie graduated from George Washington University in 2016 with her Master’s in Public Health. She also received a Bachelors of Science from West Virginia University in 2014 with a focus on Sport and Exercise Psychology.
