Students should begin to assemble in the Dance Theatre no earlier than 4:00 p.m. (there is a ceremony taking place before ours). Students are to arrive no later than 4:10 p.m. The procession of graduates will begin promptly at 4:25 p.m. and we ask that all guests be seated by that time.
Please note: There will be a BAG CHECK upon entrance to The Clarice. Seeing as bag checks can be a time consuming process, we encourage all guests and graduates to leave bags at home. We understand that this may come as an inconvenience to some but our aim is to minimize wait times at the door and ensure that guests are seated before the ceremony begins. Note: there will be absolutely no bags permitted in the procession line.
Campus-wide Ceremony: Tickets are required for the Winter 2021 campus-wide ceremony. Each student will receive 4-tickets for the ceremony. More information here.
AGNR Ceremony: Tickets are not required for the College of AGNR ceremony. However, we do request that each graduate limit their guest list to no more than 6 persons so as to allow room for all graduates & guests.
To XFINITY Center:
Follow signage to the Xfinity Center. Graduates may park on the 2nd floor of Terrapin Trail Garage (drivers should go in the middle entrance). Guests may park in the lots surrounding the XFINITY Center. Parking for guests with disabilities is available in Lot 4, 6 (Terrapin Trail Garage), 9, and 11 surrounding the Xfinity Center.
The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center:
It is recommended that guests and graduates park in Lot 1 (adjacent to The Clarice). There are a handful of roadway spaces along Alumni Drive that are signed for ADA permits in addition to the ADA spaces inside the Stadium Drive Garage.
*All campus parking is FREE on commencement dates (meters will be turned off). Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Please see map for lot numbers and locations http://maps.umd.edu/map/

Guests attending the AGNR Ceremony who need accomodations should speak with their graduating student. All graduating AGNR students will be asked to fill out an RSVP for the ceremony at which time they will have the opportunity to request those accomodations.
SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS are available upon request. Please contact the Disability Support Service at 301.314.7209 or email@example.com to make arrangements.
ADA PARKING: Those with handicap parking permits may park in any available handicap parking space on campus. There are spaces available along Alumni Drive and in Stadium Drive Garage (note: the garage is equipped with elevators at both ends).
DROPPING GUESTS OFF: Guests will be able to pull directly up to the front entrance to The Clarice and drop off any individuals who require additional assistance.
