Dr. Cardoso is an Assistant Professor in the Animal and Avian Sciences Department at the University of Maryland. The Cardoso team focus on the development of an extension program, working closer with dairy farmers in order to investigate challenges, identify and create strategies to improve animal welfare, animal production and forage quality. Dr. Cardoso focus on applied research to improve animal nutrition and the production system. She believes that is of a great value to provide education to producers based on the research conducted at the University. She teaches Dairy Management class focusing on practical experiences for undergraduate and graduate students. She believes that hands on experience is the most efficient way to prepare students with their future career.
