For the third consecutive year, two thoroughbred foals were welcomed into the world right in the middle of the College Park campus, on the university's Campus Farm. Now, students and faculty from the College of AGNR are training the young filly and colt for their future careers as racing prospects -- but first, they need registered racing names!

Community members helped brainstorm names for the two foals which were then narrowed down to five options for each horse. CLICK HERE to cast a vote for your favorite!

In 2014, the winning names for two colts born on the Campus Farm were "Maryland's Best" and "Fear the Fire."

In 2013, the campus community helped choose names for our first two thoroughbred foals -- both of which are in training to race later this year! They will race under the names "Diamondback Fire" (colt) and "Amazin Terp" (filly).
