To help highlight Food Safety Education month, two groups from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) took time out to share important information with shoppers at the Farmers' Market at Maryland.

Representatives from the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN) talked to students and other patrons about ways to prevent foodborne illnesses and invited them to play a computer game about where their food comes from.

Meanwhile, nutrition educators with University of Maryland Extension handed out recipes and cookbooks in order to encourage people to eat more produce, as part of UME's Market to Mealtime program.
