This event is organized in partnership with the Baltimore City DPW GROW Center, University of Maryland Sea Grant Extension, Friends of the Jones Falls, Union Craft Brewing, and the Union Collective.

Baltimore City Residents: build your own rain barrel! This hands-on Baltimore City Department of Public Works GROW Center workshop will cover the benefits of harvested rainwater, the setup and steps to installing a successful rain barrel, and how to use the rainwater you harvest. Participants will also learn about the impacts of stormwater runoff by touring the Union Collective's newly constructed wetland project.
All participants will receive a 55-gallon barrel that measures 2' x 3', so please verify that your car can fit the barrel! Please bring ID to verify Baltimore City Residence.

Please note in this special Saturday session - other academic units will not be available; other University amenities and facilities will operate on weekend hours.
