About the Organizer

The LEAD Maryland Fellowship Program works to identify and develop leaders to serve agriculture, natural resources, and rural communities. LEAD Fellows refine their leadership skills, increase their understanding of public issues, and expand their networks and perspectives of the world outside of—and relating to—production agriculture. LEAD brings people together from different sectors (businesses, governments, nonprofits, education, agriculture and forestry, and the environment and conservation communities). Fellows must have a willingness and readiness to learn, grow, change. Fellows foster open communication and collaboration to identify and achieve shared goals. Applications for the next two-year fellowship are open through October 1, 2025, for participation in 2026-27. Applications are found online at: www.leadmaryland.org
