Join the University of Maryland Alumni Association and the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources for Learning When and How to Pivot.

Sometimes your career path comes to a fork- do you go left or right? Join AGNR Alumni for a panel and discussion on making a pivot in your life. 

The University of Maryland Extension and College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host an all-day workshop focusing on fruits, insects, and management on Wednesday, February 19th, at the Wye Research and Education Center, 124 Wye Narrows Drive in Queenstown.

The AGNR Alumni Network is hosting our first tour of the Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show and Happy Hour! 

The event has two parts! Join us for one or both:

Part 1- MANTS Tour @ 2pm - You must purchase your own registration here from the MANTS website directly. But let us know you are planning to attend the tour so we know how many tour guides we need.

Part 2- After the show closes- join us at Pratt Street Ale House from 5-7pm. Tickets are purchases on Zeffy for $25 to include complimentary drink ticket and food! Menu includes: Nacho Bar, Wings, Mini Crab cakes, Fresh Veggies and Mini Desserts.

Please join us for AGNR's 6th annual Cornerstone Event featuring Ruben Echeverria, senior advisor for agricultural development for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He is a leader in international agricultural innovation and director general emeritus of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture. He will deliver a talk on how U.S. agricultural research can benefit the international community. 

Complementing the options to visit and tour the University of Maryland, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) will be hosting college-specific Information Sessions on select visit days. Prospective students and their families will have the chance to learn about AGNR, its majors, minors, student clubs and more! Each Info Session will also provide an opportunity for visitors to interact with current students in these agricultural- and environmental science-based majors. Each session will include an opportunity to interact with representatives of the majors in AGNR.
