Native Plants & Landscapes Specialist

The Native Plants & Landscapes position is a product of the legislated Maryland Native Plants Program (MNPP). The MNPP is designed to (1) respond to increased demand for, use of, and sale of native plants by retail garden centers, retail nurseries, and wholesalers; and (2) educate the public, landscapers, and other plant users on the importance, benefit, and availability of native plants. The program will be carried out in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Agriculture, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and the Maryland Native Plant Society.
