Whether you’re looking for ways to get involved with your peers, trying to expand your horizons abroad, or looking for professional development opportunities either through internships or research, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources offers a wealth of opportunities to our student body.
Student Clubs & Organizations
AGNR's student clubs and organizations complement the diverse academic programs offered to the students of the college. Our students are recognized on campus for their academic excellence and as leaders in a wide variety of college and campus activities. Clubs recognized by AGNR encourage career exploration, provide activities that involve practical experiences, and promote student leadership.
Study Abroad
AGNR students travel overseas to apply what they learn at UMD to support agriculture and natural resource management in developing countries. From improving the economic well-being and food security for families and women in Afghanistan, to studying the unique intersections between food and culture in France, Terps are pursuing their passions and applying their knowledge across the globe.
Internships & Careers
The University Career Center at AGNR has an array of tools to help you land that coveted internship or job. Prepare for interviews, make contacts within a specific industry, and develop effective job search strategies.
Research
Our students are consistently involved in some of the most unique and cutting-edge research in their disciplines. From utilizing advanced biotechnology techniques for the conservation of endangered species, to optimizing urban environments through design and green technology, to ensuring Maryland’s waterways remain vibrant and resilient, our students apply what they learn in the classroom to pioneer the science of tomorrow.
