My name is Eric Fitch, and I’m excited to be the Maryland SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator and Project Leader for Kent County. As a high school and college athlete I realized the importance of fitness and nutrition at an early age. After graduating with honors from Towson University, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education, I decided to become a personal trainer and start my own business. Until the COVID-19 pandemic, my wife and I successfully owned and operated a personal training studio in downtown Chestertown, where we integrated fitness and nutrition. During this time, I dedicated most of my continuing education to nutrition and even wrote my own cookbook (Eating to be Physically Fitch). If I am not working, you will most likely find me gardening in my yard or kayaking on the Chester River.
