Kayla earned a B.S. in Biology with minors in ecology and plant biotechnology from Michigan Technological University in 2010, and a M.S. in Agronomy from Iowa State University in 2014 where her thesis research focused on graduate-level soil science education. Additionally, Kayla is a grain, hay, and produce farmer in Anne Arundel County. Joining University of Maryland Extension as a nutrient management advisor in 2018, Kayla writes nutrient management plans for producers and provides guidance on soil and manure sampling and spreader calibrations. Kayla currently represents C2 employees on the University Senate.
