Dwayne Joseph serves as the Agriculture and Food Systems Extension Agent for Kent County. His research centers on evaluating and developing integrated weed management strategies for both vegetable and agronomic cropping systems in Maryland. Dwayne earned his B.S. in Biology from Grambling State University, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Plant and Environmental Sciences from Clemson University. Prior to joining University of Maryland Extension in 2022, he served as a postdoctoral research associate at UMD. Dwayne is dedicated to supporting the agricultural communities of Kent County, the Eastern Shore, and across Maryland through practical, research-based programming that addresses local needs.
