Annette gives homeowners advice on managing pests, plants and landscape problems and coordinates the Master Gardener volunteer program. Her goal is to encourage safe, effective gardening techniques that build healthier gardens and communities. She joined the Maryland Cooperative Extension in 2006 after a 20-year stint in corporate communications. She teaches environmentally responsible gardening through talks, newspaper columns, community events and individual horticulture consultations. Master Gardeners magnify her impact through plant clinics, demonstration gardens, horticulture therapy programs, information booths and the Bay-Wise Landscape Management Program.
