Brittany Fletcher

Dr. Brittany Fletcher joined the University of Maryland Extension team in 2024 as the Ruminant Livestock Extension Specialist, and is currently based at the Western Maryland Research & Education Center. Originally from Maryland, Brittany completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science-Biotechnology from Oklahoma State University in 2019. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University where her research focused on trace mineral supplementation strategies in feedlot cattle and utilizing mixed species grazing to manage woody plant encroachment in the Central Great Plains. In her current role, she works to support beef cattle, dairy cattle, and small ruminant producers and industry professionals across the region through applied research and Extension programming.
