When Charles Benedict Calvert established the Maryland Agricultural College in 1856, his goal was for the college to lead the way for excellence in teaching, research and outreach.
Now, over 150 years later, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources boasts some of the top programs in the nation, engages over 250,000 Marylanders statewide through Extension, spreading our research efforts across Africa and the world, and working on high stakes issues like water quality, sea-level rise and climate change.
Your donation will allow the college to hire and retain the best possible faculty, attract and keep the brightest students through scholarships and life-changing opportunities, and allow for research in facilities that encourage innovation.
A contribution to AGNR also means you are ensuring a brighter, more sustainable future for the state of Maryland and beyond. Through our college's Strategic Initiatives, we embody the university's land-grant mission with a commitment to eliminate hunger and malnutrition, preserve the world's natural resources, improve quality of life, and empower the next generation through world-class education.
The college continues on the path set forth by Calvert, but we can do even more. A donation to AGNR is a gift for the greater good. Help us make an impact today.
