Jeanette served as a Faculty Assistant Nutrition Specialist with the UMD Baltimore County Extension in 1996, leaving to earn a Master's degree in Education from The Johns Hopkins University. Since then, Jeanette has held faculty posts at Howard Community College (professor), UMBC (lecturer), and UAZ (visiting professor) and has earned a Master of Public Health in Nutrition from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Innovation in program design and developing community partnerships is Jeanette's forte and passion. As a professor at Howard Community College (HCC), Jeanette developed the country's first Arts and Sciences Associate of Arts Public Health transfer degree program and forged an articulation agreement with UMBC's Health Administration and Policy Program public health track. Jeanette also created an Arts and Sciences Associate of Arts Nutrition transfer degree program for HCC and developed transfer crosswalks with UMD department of Nutrition.
