Originally a biology major, Hanum struggled with choosing a major and is grateful for the help she received from professors, advisors and peers. As a peer mentor, she hopes to help other students improve their academic and social experience at Maryland. Her internships and jobs include positions at the College Park Animal Hospital, Camp Walden, and the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
