160 AGNR students applied for the Bachelor of Science degree or the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree for May 2009. Of those 160 students, 31 are receiving Commencement Honors-- 9 Cum Laude, 18 Magna Cum Laude, and 4 Summa Cum Laude.
Amanda Garzio-Hadzick and Zane Hadzick are a husband and wife team graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy with a concentration in Soil, Water, and Land Resources.

Zane Hadzick and Amanda Garzio-Hadzick
Allison and John Palmer, a father-daughter duo who graduated on the same day. Allison earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management, and John earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Richard Paynter earned a Bachelor of Science in the Veterinary Sciences program. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was congratulated by his father, Dr. Kennedy T. Paynter, director in the College of Chemical and Life Sciences.

Robert Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. His grandfather, Grove Miller, received the Medallion of Excellence from Dr. Cheng-i Wei, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
