AGNR Scholarship Application (Admitted Freshmen)

Please complete all sections of the application. You must upload an essay and resume to complete the application. You do not need to resubmit your official transcipts or SAT/ACT scores. The deadline for submission is March 1, 2018. Decisions will be released by April 1, 2018.

This 9-digit number (starting with "1") can be found on your online admissions decision letter.
If you known, please also include your concentration. This is not required.
This can include family vegetable gardens, livestock, apiaries and other small, personal operations.
Attach a resume that includes the following: A list & description of your extracurricular activities (e.g. memberships in organizations, sports, etc.); A list & description of any volunteer activities in which you have been involved; A list of honors or academic awards you have received (e.g. scholarly activities, research, academic recognition, etc.); Your previous work experience.

Essay Topic: Think about what you plan to study in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and your future career goals. With this in mind, please answer ONE of the following prompts. 1. What led you to this field or area of study? Tell us why you are passionate about this field and how the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Maryland can help you achieve your career goals. 2. What is an issue, topic, or current event in your area of study that you feel passionately about? Describe the issue and discuss how you will put your passion into action as a student in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Maryland. Essays should be 600-800 words.
