SIT Study Abroad Scholarships

SIT Study Abroad Scholarships

About one-third of scholarship applicants receive financial assistance to participate in our programs. Only SIT Study Abroad participants can be considered for SIT Study Abroad scholarships. Awards generally range from $500 to $5,000. Financial need is a primary consideration for all of our scholarship decisions other than those for the SIT Asia Fund, which places more emphasis on merit.

We use our scholarship funds to ensure that a diverse group of students can participate from all regions in the US and abroad and from a variety of colleges and universities.

Please note that funds are limited, and we are unable to award a scholarship to every applicant. If you receive scholarship funding from SIT, you will be required to submit a written report on your experience by July 1st for spring programs, January 15th for fall programs, and September 1st for summer programs.

Scholarship funds are available for semester and summer participants.

Before You Apply for SIT Scholarships

  1. Review financial aid options through your home college.
  2. Note that SIT has one scholarship application for all of our funds. We will review your application for eligibility from all sources that SIT has available.
  3. Note that your scholarship application will only be reviewed if it is complete and you have been accepted to an SIT Study Abroad program.
