Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative

Each year Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative, Inc. awards five $1,000 scholarships to college students planning careers in the dairy industry and whose parents are members of the cooperative. Applicants must attend a two or four years accredited college, university, or trade school. Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, additional scholarships may be available.

Scholarship selection is based upon a student's commitment to an occupation in the dairy industry, his leadership ability, initiative, character and integrity, participation in extra curricular activities, academic achievement, and financial need.

To apply, students must complete an application, provide a school transcript and a letter of recommendation from a contact in the dairy industry.

Scholarship applications must be postmarked by February 13, 2009 for consideration. Recipients will be chosen by April 17.
