Three $500 scholarships will be awarded.

Requirements:

• Declared a major in an accredited four-year VA, MD, WV, PA, NJ, DE or DC college or university
• Must be rising sophomore, junior or senior who registered full time for Fall semester.
• Must be pursuing a career in environmental science, agricultural science or engineering, soil science, agronomy or forestry
• Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

Applications and accompanying paperwork must post marked no later than December 12, 2011.  Selected scholarship winners will be announced no later than January 3, 2011. Scholarships will be awarded to the selected students’ universities in the students’ name for Spring 2012 semester.

Please send brief essay (two pages maximum, typed, single spaced, 12 point font) on your career goals, specifically including which facet of the erosion and sediment control industry you would like to practice following graduation from college and why. Also send a completed application form and one letter of reference from a current or past professor.
