Visit Maryland Days

At Visit Maryland Day, you and your family will have the opportunity to speak with faculty, meet current students, take tours of campus and learn more about Maryland’s academic and student services.

Maryland UpClose

An hour-long information session with an admission representative, followed by a 90-minute student-led tour, is offered most weekdays and Saturdays. Reservation required.

Terrapin Tours

Led by student guides Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., tours meet in the lobby of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the Mitchell Building. We show a DVD about the university 20 minutes prior to each tour. No reservation required. Tours are not available on university holidays.

Adopt-A-Student

This program allows prospective students to meet up with a current undergraduate and spend a day involved in campus life, attending classes and participating in extracurricular activities. Reservation required at least two weeks in advance. This program is not available in the summer.

If none of these options fit your schedule, you are welcome to visit us in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. We offer appointments with an admission counselor on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on university holidays. No reservation required.

AGDay

Each year, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources opens its doors to thousands of visitors and hosts information sessions, as well as fun competitions and demonstrations. Celebrating our roots as a land-grant college, AG Day corresponds with the university wide open house known as Maryland Day. Meet with current students representing various academic disciplines within our college, attend the Animal Husbandry Club Fitting and Showmanship Contest or sample some free university-made ice cream. Ag Day is held the last Saturday of each April.
