As Maryland Day came and went, so did the opportunity to submit original future racing names for the Campus Farm's two new thoroughbred foals. 148 names were submitted, but only three were chosen for each foal as finalists.
For the bay colt, by Rock Slide and The Best Sister, the three finalist names are:
- Rockin' Terp
- Terrapin Rockstar
- Maryland's Best
For the chestnut colt, by Friesan Fire and Daylight Lassie, the three finalist names are:
- Fear the Fire
- Testudo's Star
- Blazin' Terp
Once again, it is now up to YOU, the voters, to decide what names these foals will be racing under in their future careers. To submit your vote, visit http://agnr.umd.edu/foalvote and choose one of the three names for each foal. Voting will end the Monday after the Kentucky Derby, May 5th.
