Environmental Science and Policy: Environmental Science and Policy is a broadly multidisciplinary undergraduate major, drawing courses and faculty from 20 departments and four colleges.
New ENSP students begin in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, where they will be guided through a structured exploratory advising process. ENSP students are expected to declare a concentration by the end of their third semester in the program and, once they declare their concentration, will move administratively to the college and department sponsoring the concentration. There they are advised by a faculty member in their discipline.
The ENSP faculty aspire to provide a strong ENSP identity and a "liberal arts feel" for the 200+ students enrolled in this major, and encourage students to take advantage of the resources available at a Research I Public University.

Institute of Applied Agriculture: The IAA is a certificate-based program that focuses on hands-on learning. Many students who enter the IAA programs have prior academic training that they combine with the practical knowledge and skills gained at the IAA to advance their careers. Our dedicated faculty train students for specific career outcomes and over 90% of our graduates go directly from our program to jobs in their specialized field of training. Students choosing to go on and complete a 4-year degree can transfer IAA credits into the University of Maryland, University College Management Studies program.

Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM): The College offers a four-year full-time program leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. The first three years are taught in a case-based and traditional lecture/laboratory format. At the end of the first year, students choose a track-- small animal, food animal, equine, mixed species, and public/corporate veterinary medicine. Considerable flexability exists for a student to tailor their curriculum to meet individual needs and interests.
BMVS Graduate Programs: Graduate programs lead to either the Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences (BMVS). These programs are designed to prepare graduates for careers in agricultural and biomedical research; industry and government; education, administration, or other areas where knowledge of animals and disease is relevant.
